Ed Mannion Negatives

Below includes photo negatives donated by Ed Mannion, Petaluma's unofficial historian.

Mannion was a cherished figure known for his colorful storytelling and dedication to local history. Best remembered for his 1960-1963 run of the “Rear-View Mirror” column in the Argus-Courier, he was also a linotype operator at the same paper. Mannion’s impact on local history was substantial, including his work on the 1955 centennial edition of the Argus-Courier and his extensive collection of documents and photographs, which later became the foundation of the Petaluma History Room.
